What the world needs now
A new documentary - Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over - recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and there’s an art exhibition in Newark NJ. that is an homage to Dionne Warwick’s Twitter-account (sic)! This has led some to the erroneous conclusion that Dionne Warwick is back in the spotlight again. But that is not the case, concludes Michael A. Gonzales in the latest edition of oldster Magazine: She never left it! And he is of course right!
Ain’t that good news
33 1/3 is a series of short books about record album, published by Bloomsbury. It is also a blog, presenting the subjects of their books from different angles.
Almost a month ago, Live at the Harlem Square Club, 1963, about the album by Sam Cooke of the same name, was released. The last few days the author, Colin Fleming, has written five blog posts about Sam Cooke
