Edition 11
Welcome,
I'm Stefan, and this is edition 11 of Looking For The Good Stuff, conceived and written at my HQ in Berlin, Germany. Just like Oscar Wilde, I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.
What time does the next miracle leave?
In the current episode of his podcast Bizarre Albums, Tony Thaxton puts the light on the third record in Frank Sinatra’s triple LP set Trilogy: Past, Present & Future from 1980. The CD version, available on Spotify and the other major streaming services, consists of two discs. Disc two is actually the third LP. A bit confusing….
The third (or second) record is about the future, and the subtitle is Reflections on the future in three tenses. Instead of the usual themes, Ol’ Blue Eyes is singing about space travel and World War None! Far out and completely right at the same time.
Don’t miss this episode - and listen to the whole set for the full experience.
